Our Founder

Get to know the heart of Human Capital Strategic Consulting. Meet Julie Simmons, Managing Director.

Human Capital Strategic Consulting is led by Ms. Julie Simmons. In her role as Managing Director, Julie works with organizations to accelerate business performance and drive superior results through the development and advancement of people. She advises on talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training and leadership development, as well as total rewards. She brings over 25 years of human resources experience with professional services, non-profits and government contracting organizations.

Experience

Prior to her current position at Human Capital Strategic Consulting, Julie provided internal human resources consulting within the software development, nonprofit and professional services industries with the following companies: Grant Thornton, TEOCO Corporation, ASTA and Arthur Andersen.

Industry

Julie currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. She is committed to talent development and has previously served on the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board as well as the Marymount University Board of Visitors.

Speaking

Julie has spoken at the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants conference. She has been a featured speaker at The Washington Journalism and Media Conference, The Washington Youth Summit on the Environment and the Virginia State SHRM conference.

Community Involvement

Julie is committed to community social responsibility and regularly donates her time and talent to improve the Northern Virginia community. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia. She has previously served on the Junior Achievement Advisory Board and is the chair emeritus of the George Mason University Alumni Scholarship Committee.

Education

Julie received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from George Mason University, and her Master of Arts in Human Resources from Marymount University.
